Department Store Dividends for Seeking Alpha

My new article at Seeking Alpha is up.

3 Department Stores For Dividend Investors With A Contrarian Streak

There are three department stores out there that I believe will withstand the test of time, and currently pay great dividends. Traditional department stores are having a tough time in our connected world, but over the long haul I believe there will be winners. I think some of the beaten down names are starting to look like an opportunity.

As always, feel free to look at my portfolio and see how I’m doing. Usually I own or plan to own stock in many of the companies I write about. Specific numbers I reference may not be completely accurate; different online financial sources often have somewhat conflicting information. Verify information via multiple sources you trust. Please READ MY DISCLAIMER. Do not take action in the market simply because of what you read here. I write about what I am doing and what I think, I am not advising anyone to do anything. Make your own decisions, do your own research, and never rely on any single source for information. Some of my ‘picks’ and strategies WILL lose money, that’s the way the market works. I am not a financial professional; do not rely on me as such.

American Eagle Outfitters for Seeking Alpha

My latest article for Seeking Alpha is now available. American Eagle Outfitters: The Death Of The Mall Narrative Is Overrated.

American Eagle Outfitters, Inc. (NYSE: AEO) is a solid apparel retailer with a nice dividend and a great balance sheet. AEO is caught up in the “death of the mall” narrative, despite sound performance in this tough retail environment. In this article, I lay out the bullish case for this retailer, and what action I intend to take in my own portfolio.
