Please note that transaction fees ARE NOW included on this page, both buy and future sell. So a gain would be the actual gain from a sell at the current price. Current option prices are the BID price, the price someone is willing to pay, not the last price.

This is a weekly chart, a profit/loss snapshot taken every Friday at the close. Mr. Market is calculated by ‘buying’ imaginary shares of the S&P 500 when I add funds to my trading account. So if I add $1,000 to my account, and the S&P 500 is at 2000 when my account is funded, I ‘buy’ half a ‘share’ of the S&P 500. I also keep track of how many shares of the SPY ETF I could buy (including partial shares), to get a pretty good handle on how much I would receive in dividends from the S&P 500. Whenever these ‘fake dividends’ reach $1,000 they will be reinvested into my fake ‘Mr. Market’ portfolio. I started keeping track of this in August, 2015, several months after I waded into the market. Is it a perfect representation? No. Is it pretty good… I think so.

AEO. Been my favorite rewarding stock my last 40 years. It is not going anywhere but up. Be careful with your entry level. Let it ride.
